Do authors really pay for reviews?
    Am I reading this wrong?

And it looks like they take random submitted reviews. So you are author X, you pay for a review, reviewer Z hated/loved your book and submits it just cuz, the author so didn't get the service they paid for.

    Did they?

And how do you trust a review that an author could have paid for? Of course I have never really heard of this site, which means nothing. I haven't heard of many sites ;).

    1. Same difference but you have to pay for the cover of RT (unless you can get your publisher to). It's on their website. Publishers spend money advertising in RT and RT reviews their books and yes, epublished authors pay for advertising to get reviews also (LSB suplements our ads so we only have to pay a set fee). No it doesn't guarantee a good review--look at all the bad reviews RT gives. Not that they give a lot, but they don't give all good or great reviews.
