2004 RRA-L AWARDS wow it was short this year... 1. Best Romance Novel: __1__BET ME by Jennifer Crusie __2__SLIGHTLY DANGEROUS by Mary Balogh __3__AIN'T SHE SWEET by Susan Elizabeth Phillips MISS WONDERFUL by Loretta Chase SHADOWHEART by Laura Kinsale -------------------------------------------------- This would be the year I started reading romance. Shadowheart was the book mishy, rec'ed and rec'ed and rec'ed again. Until I caved... I like the slightly series so another good book! And I have Bet Me to read. Plan to get Miss Wonderful and will prolly end up with Ain't She Sweet but really it doesn't sound like my kind of book. 2. Best Romance Novella: __1__"Winterfair Gifts" by Lois McMaster Bujold (in IRRESISTIBLE FORCES) __2__"The Trouble with Heroes" by Jo Beverley (in IRRESISTIBLE FORCES) __3__"The Alchemical Marriage" by Mary Jo Putney (in IRRESISTIBLE FORCES) "Two Dancing Daughters" by Edith Layton (in REGENCY CHRISTMAS MAGIC) "The Enchanted Earl" by Barbara Metzger (in REGENCY CHRISTMAS MAGIC) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- wow haven't read any of these but I guess since they are out of two books that isn't that hard to believe. 3. Best Debut Romance Novel: __1__A SECRET PASSION by Sophia Nash __2__LADY OF THE KNIGHT by Jackie Ivie __3__MAN IN A KILT by Sandy Blair TO CHALLENGE A DRAGON by Shelley Laurentson STICK SHIFT by Mary Leo -------------------------------------------- I have To Challenge a Dragon!
