    1. Well, she hasn't actually done all the cousins yet . . . ducking and running. (VBEG)

    2. You know I thought of you when I saw this *g*

    3. *bangs head on desk*

Some people just don't know when to leave well enough alone, do they?

    4. You know I haven't read these since... uh hmmm something perfect or perfect something.

I did borrow the hardback of the one before last but didn't get far into it.

Speaking of I need to go get a library card (did you know you have to get a new one if you don't use it in over five years? bastards)

By Blogger sybil, at 6/14/2006 02:00:00 PM

    5. I stopped reading sometime around the twins' books (can't remember the names) and haven't really been tempted to read since. This gets a big MEH from me. ;)

Are you serious? You have to get a new one? Some people's kids....

    6. yep! I guess I can understand in the way of people move and they want to make sure you still live here.

But sheeze I just wanted to reserve some books on the internet, cuz nicole does it and it is cool. Oh and I am broke and even when not broke buying hardback makes me gag. I think I bought two hardback books last year... will have to double check.

      Hey! Now be nice. (G)

You know I haven't read these since... uh hmmm something perfect or perfect something.

THE PERFECT LOVER. I think that's the title and I should know because I've read it often enough. Absolutely love that book. Conversely, I almost hated both books of the twins. Very weird.

Actually, as much as I like the main six Bar Cynster books, I tend to think Simon's, Michael's & Gerrard's books have been the best stories. Which leaves me truly conflicted about her doing more seeing has how the only ones left are the very much younger female cousins.

Of course, she could be getting ready to start on the next generation . . . oye, that might even wear on me. ;)

    8. Oh, gosh, please not the next generation...I couldn't deal with that.

I think I liked one of the twins but not the other, though I can't remember which was which now.

    9. Sybil:
Yeah, the library is funny that way - wanting to make sure they have the right contact information so we can get our dang books back!

Sorry - was having a flashback there.

Seriously, I used to have library patrons that every time they came in they gave me either a different address or phone number. I mean, moving to me is somewhere akin to root canals and lobotomies - I just can't figure out why anyone in their right mind would want to move that much.

Oh and Cynsters - never read them, no interest too. But I've started calling this The Series That Will Never Die :-)

    10. hey I meant that in a nice way bev ;)

LOL wendy I was wondering if you would see that *g*. I know, I know but uh it was only like ten years ago I got it. I was proud I still had the card!

    11. I really liked the first six? Except for one, if I remember correctly. Then I just kept buying them cuz I am fucking odd like that.

By Blogger sybil, at 6/14/2006 04:43:00 PM

    12. I suppose that makes sense about the library...

Then I just kept buying them cuz I am fucking odd like that.

I almost spit water all over my screen because of that comment. I'll never look at you the same way again..

    13. Hey! I stopped after The Perfect Lover!

It just took a lil while...

By Blogger sybil, at 6/14/2006 05:19:00 PM

    14. I think I liked one of the twins but not the other, though I can't remember which was which now.

I think one of my problems with their two stories was that they'd been so joined at the hip in all the other books that it was almost distracting to see them function separately, if that makes sense. And to have them actually separated was almost painful. At least she did one thing right and had them marry close cousins.

Mainly, though, I thought the first book needed a stronger plot.

    15. I'm a total hardcover Ho and I've never read Laurens

      *ducking and running*

Ok I'm back. I quit reading historicals when Garwood quit writing them.

By Blogger Amie Stuart, at 6/14/2006 08:17:00 PM

    16. I think it was Amanda's book that I liked, though I'm not quite sure. It's been so long I really don't trust my memory on this.

Amie Stuart, I'm with you about Garwood. Do you think she'll EVER go back to them?

By Blogger Holly, at 6/14/2006 08:24:00 PM

    17. Holly I sure hope so. I miss them. I heard she was roped into the RS for now but who the hell knows......

It's not that her RS is bad, I actually liked the first book. I think I just got burnt out on the genre about the same time. Funny same goes for historical which I rarely read anymore.

I went back and tried to read a Jude Deveraux historical (Major Fangirl)a couple years ago and nearly gagged LOL....but she's got sentimental value.
