****DO NOT POST LOVER AWAKENED SPOILERS IN THIS THREAD***
    please and thank you

We will start easy, tells us about Lover Awakened. (for the five people who don't know, this comes out today)
    First, thanks for having me!

LOVER AWAKENED is Zsadist’s book. Out of all the Brotherhood, Z is my favorite... (I’m also a huge V and Rehvenge and Qhuinn fan but who’s counting).

Z is probably the most dangerous of the Brothers. He’s the one who, in the words of his twin, is ruined, not broken.

Held as a blood slave for a century, he was horribly abused and emerged violent, unpredictable and essentially soulless. The book is about him and his mate, Bella, a beautiful aristocrat, and the love they find together.

Out of the four books you have completed, what has surprised you the most?
When I started to write the series, I kind of expected each book to feel the same. I mean... in terms of tone. But they’re not.

To me, DARK LOVER reads differently than LOVER ETERNAL and LOVER AWAKENED and LOVER REVEALED. I suppose it does make sense as whichever Brother is on deck sets the beat of the book and as they are different, and their conflicts are different, the stories vary accordingly. But that was a surprise.

I will say that LA is the darkest of the series so far- and originally, I didn’t think anything else would come close. Instead, Vishous’s book, LOVER UNBOUND, is also a dark one. Rehv’s and Qhuinn’s will be likewise

Do you think we can ever have too many vampire or paranormal books? What do you think of the explosion of the genre?
I think that straight contemporary romance is very hard to write in a fresh manner (there are undoubtedly some who do it but I think it’s hard!)

At this time, in modern society, there are very few external restrictions to romance. I mean, consider the strictures of historicals for example where social rules and values prevented free sexual expression. A lot of these barriers to love no longer exist: pre-martial sex is not the no-go it once was, for example, so if you have it, you’re reputation isn’t completely ruined and you don’t end up banished to the wrong side of the tracks.

What I love about paranormals, and why I think they are so popular, is that you can bring contemporary speech and settings into an environment where external conflict can still be imposed. For example, in the Brotherhood world, males need to drink from females of their own species. So if a male, such as Rhage, falls in love with a human, his physical need for the blood of another is a conflict that is going to have be resolved somehow. And strong conflict breeds strong emotion which can translate into a great read.

I think the popularity resides as well in the limitless world-building you can do. I mean, as long as the rules of the world are internally consistent and you write convincingly, there is almost nothing you can't do or explore. So that's why you see some really fresh, interesting takes on old myths as well as some wild, fantastic imaginary places.

I also think paranormals have gained momentum as all current fades do, creating their own kind of centrifugal force in the market place. The issue is always going to be quality, however. No matter how great a trend is, readers are not going to fooled by lackluster plotting or characters. So to answer your question: I think we can never have enough really good vampire or paranormal books. After all, it's what we're all looking for: a great read!

Do you ever wake up and go, I so don't want to write about the brothers today. And want to write something else?

These guys are set to be at least the next six years of your writing life? Will there be time for anything else? And if so... what?

LOL! I haven’t yet! It doesn’t mean that some days I don’t want to bury my head in the backyard (while it’s still attached.) But I really am captivated by these books.

There are other things I want to write, however. I have another series that I’ve planned out, but I’m sitting on it right now- with the Brotherhood books coming out every six months, I need to be really focused on them. I don’t want to crack open another series unless I feel sure I can do both well.

Who is next? In fact can you give us a run down of theorder of the series?
Okay, so after LOVER AWAKENED, it’s Butch’s turn. The cop’s book, LOVER REVEALED, comes out in March ’07 and it’s all finished. Vishous is up thereafter. I’ve just started V’s book, LOVER UNBOUND- I’m about 90 pages in so far. Then it’s Phury’s book.

At first I thought the series was going to run a total of ten books. But as I’ve written it, more and more people have come forward. Now? It’s open ended. I mean... I HAVE to write Qhuinn’s book. Just have to.

If you’ve got any questions you want to ask, I’d be happy to try and answer them!

    1. Hi J.R.

You've said that the books are 'told' to you by the Brothers. Are you ever surprised by the direction that they take??

Willa :D *still in Lover Awakened WOW daze* grin

    2. Wow. This was a really nice interview and very informative. No questions, just wanted to say that I enjoyed reading it. You know, I'm getting more and more excited about V's book. I've always been stoked about Phury's and Z's is now on the way. Can't wait. Best wishes. :-)

    3. I have only just started reading paranormals in the last couple of months. When I first started everyone was saying you must read JR Ward so I feel as though I have kind of been working my way up to them! At the moment I am just under halfway through Dark Lover and I am enjoying it immensely. At this point the question that has me thinking most is how is a human cop going to fit into all of this, but I am sure all will be revealed! LOL!

    4. Morning JR!!!!! And congrats on Z's release today!!!!!!! Can't wait to get to the bookstore!!!!!!!

I just know I'm gonna love Z all the more!!!!!

    5. Squeee!! Hi JR! Read LA last night (a day early, sorry, but it was there and I needed the escape). Loved it! Anyway, just wanted to say that I thought that your comments about the appeal of the paranormal romance and the difficulties of writing straight contemporary romance were interesting and very true.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 9/05/2006 07:43:00 AM

    6. WARDen, Thanks so much for introducing the Brothers...they ROCK! I've got my copy of LA and have the day off. It's a perfect day!!

    7. J.R.

There are absolutely NO WORDS to describe HOW incredibly awesome this book was. I started reading last night, and got up at 5am, and just finished it around 7:15. Immediately got online to your site, to check things out. I cannot wait to share with other people. Although I love ALL 3 books, this was is my favorite, thus far. YOU....to me, exceed every other author out there (sorry other authors!)

Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you!!! I've been reading your books as they come out, waiting with baited breath and all that, so I'm very excited about Lover Awakened coming out today. You're the greatest!!!

    9. I'm totally hooked on this series! There's something about the world presented in these books that makes me want to know more. I need to know more! Last Friday I saw Lover Awakened at Walmart and it almost killed me to leave it there. Fortunately, I was going out of the country to camp in Canada for the holiday weekend and didn't get back til last night. AS soon as I get done with work I'll get the book and plop myusel,f down in my cahir and read tonight. Can't wait to meet Rehvenge and see Z fall in love.

    10. WARDen - Thank you for sharing the Brothers and their shellans with us. Thank you for the time and effort that goes behind creating this alternate world. Your books give a contemporary, sexy slant to a genre that I can't get enough of these days. Thanks!!!

    13. Hi JR,

I know that you have said that Z's book was the hardest to write. Now that you've done Butch's book and now working on V's, is that still true?

      Ann

By Blogger Ann, at 9/05/2006 08:35:00 AM

    14. Hi JR,
No words can describe how much I LOVE your books. I haven't been this fascinated with a series ever. They suck me in and won't let go. Heck, I don't even want it to. Yours are the only books that I look forward to. I even got a few people at work hooked onto your books. Please keep writing and a big Thank You for keeping me intrigued.

    18. It's finally here!!! I'm off to the bookstore and can't wait....Let's hope your fans launch LA's sales into the stratosphere today!

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 9/05/2006 09:10:00 AM

    19. First of all hi!! And hi Cellies!

Okay, Ann asked a really good question:

I know that you have said that Z's book was the hardest to write. Now that you've done Butch's book and now working on V's, is that still true?

      ****************************

Well, yes and no. Emotionally? Absolutely Z's was the hardest to write and I think that there is only one other that will come close. And you can probably guess whose that is... (name starts with a T.)

But each book has its own changes from a process/content perspective. It's amazing how many different ways a book can torture you. Butch's book was hard because I felt like I was hauling bags of sand up hill with my teeth. A lot happens in it and balancing it all was a toughie. Plus he's wicked long. (And he made me BLUSH CONSTANTLY- OMG he's the hottest thing I've ever written...)

But yeah... I stand by the statement. Emotionally, I don't think anyone else will get to me so consistantly...

      J.R.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 9/05/2006 09:15:00 AM

    20. Willa asked a great question:

You've said that the books are 'told' to you by the Brothers. Are you ever surprised by the direction that they take??

      **************************

All the dayum time. Recently, like last week... I got horrible news about someone in the series. Horrible horrible thing... and I'm just heartbroken. I'm all fighting it and upset and all... but I've learned if I try to impose my own will on the books, the Brothers shut up. So I'm going to do what I'm told, but I don't like it at all.

And OMG, one of the Brothers? Okay... I'll even say who it is: John Matthew? When I found out who he ended up with? I was like OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You can't do this to me! How's he going to end up with her!! OMG!!!

But as usual, the Brothers just flipped me off and kept going...

      ;)

    21. Zeek thank you for the squuuueeee!

And Dance Chica, I owe you the answers to that interview! I'm so behind but I promise to catch up soon!

Cyn! Just think now you can lend Z out while you work on your clients! MUUUUUAH!

And can I just say how much I love me some Cellie?? :) Thank you guys for showing up!

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 9/05/2006 09:20:00 AM

    22. I am soooo addicted to your books, J.R. Thank you so much for writing them they have captured my heart.

Every book that you write just gets better and better. I didn't think that was possible since I liked all of them!!

I am so looking forward to seeing what happens with Butch and Phury. You are a master of surprises!!!!

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 9/05/2006 09:20:00 AM

    23. Barbara! You are too kind!

But honestly? I feel like I'm just doing what I'm told. I don't actually think I'm smart enough to dream all this up- just not sure where it all comes from. And the thing is- I'm truly as surprised as everyone else! LOLOL

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 9/05/2006 09:22:00 AM

    24. WARDen, Love the brothers. Had to drop a comment to show my support. :)

One question: Is there any book that you're particularly looking forward to writing?

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 9/05/2006 09:23:00 AM

    25. Hi Warden,

      Your books are absolutely amazing!

Best wishes for the remaining books.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 9/05/2006 09:28:00 AM

    26. Hi S-Byte!!!

      You ask a great question:
Is there any book that you're particularly looking forward to writing?

      REHVENGE

OMG, I want to write his book so badly that I almost don't want to write because then I won't be able to look forward to it anymore. I can't go into here because I suppose it's a spoiler. But because of what he is, he's going to blow out the dimensions of the world quite a bit.

And it's amazing where he ends up!!!!!

Plus he's a sick bas**** with an evil streak and I just LOVE that about males.

    34. Hi JR,

This is the book I've been waiting for! I've loved Z since the beginning and am looking forward to enjoying his angsty story.

Thanks for writing such a wonderful "world" and populating it with such hot guys!

    35. Love this series!

Have my copy of LA must *sob* must wait until this evening to start reading. If it is like the other books, once I start I won't quit till it is finished.

One question, who or what do you like to read for fun.

By Blogger Sherry, at 9/05/2006 09:59:00 AM

    36. Just got my book. What are your expectations for today? What part of the book is your favorite. Begining, middle or ending? Are you sad that is finally over? MU@@@@@@@@@@@ you rock!!!!!!!!

    37. I love your books! I'm also glad you and the cellies don't have to bail me outta jail for stalking the Barnes & Noble romance section worker this morning. I think I scared her- then I pimped your books & she was picking up DL when I walked away (clutching Z's book like a lifeline). Thanks for creating this awesome world and feeding your cellies' cravings! MUAH!

    38. Hey JR!

Happy Release Day ;). And thanks again for taking time to check in here today.

I know you say HEA are a must for you in your books. And I thank you *g*. But since you don't 'create' as much as 'tell' the brothers story do you know the ending of the book when you sit down to start the book?

Or is the ride as bumpy for you as it is for us as you set out?

Have you ever started a book thinking one character was going to be a shellan to have it be someone else?

By Blogger sybil, at 9/05/2006 10:03:00 AM

    39. Well before I finsihed the first book, J.R. Ward shot to the top of my all time favorite authors list. I love the world that she shares with us. And I can't wait for 3:30 to come, 'cause then I can go and get Z and Bella's story!!!!! Thank you!!!!!

    40. Hello JR,
I just wanted to tell you how much I’ve enjoyed Dark Lover and Lover Eternal. I can’t wait till lunch to run down the street to Borders so I can get Lover Awakened! I know I’ll be busy all evening reading, much to my husband’s chagrin. You’re a very talented storyteller and I must admit to being able to lose myself in the pages. Thank you.
If this is a dup, it's because I been having trouble getting this to post. -Gail-

Z is my favourite so far ...

    45. whoohoo this book rocks. There are several books I cannot wait to read one being Butch and now Rehv. Both of these books are going to be great. I think your right T's book will be very emotional too.
One question I know you've said that was going to be female warrior can I get some more info on her.

By Blogger Pamk, at 9/05/2006 10:25:00 AM

    46. I just have to start out saying 'thank you' for giving us the brothers. I love, love, love these books! I am totally not used to re-reading books ... I always figured if you know the entire story line, there is no need to re-read. But you proved me wrong! I have re-read the two books soooo many times now!

And I really wanted to say thank you for releasing your books every 6 months. I know that puts quite a strain on you (nothing like a little pressure, huh!) but it is really appreciated on our end!!!

Keep up the great work!! You are by far my favorite author!!!

    47. Congratulations on the release of LA, WARDen!!! If you had any insecurities on how the day would go, throw them all out the window now. By the unanimous show of support here, I'd say that the day is yours already. Not trying to get all mushy, just trying to keep it real. Love you, lady!!! MUAH!!!

Oh, and... the difficulty in writing T's book is going to come close to Z's???? You're killing me!!!!

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 9/05/2006 10:28:00 AM

    48. Yes indeed, V showing up at my house would be great!! :D (Especially if he brought some fun things, of course!)

Aaaaaaanyway, I totally agree with Jenn G about you releasing the books every six months. Granted six months IS a long time for anxious cellies such as us, but it is much better than having to wait a year+ and long enough to give you some time so you don't have to rush anything. Not that I can ever imagine you doing: the brothers mean too much! :)

      Thanks again for everything!!

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 9/05/2006 10:34:00 AM

    49. no questions for me at this moment :D.

I just have to say the reason I love JR's books is that they are good paranormal, the characters are completely believable... and just completely amazing!! as a person with several hundred books in my collection (and its still growing) The WARDen's books are in my top 10. very few books grab my attention enough to read them over and over, enough so that I can skip through to parts I want to read at any one moment. but these do!

I'm just sitting here right now (impatiently) waiting for my B&N to open up so I can snatch up Z and go hide in my room to devour him!

btw WARDen, you turned me into a drooling fanatic for the BDB *muah* THANK YOU!

I think that, next to Butch's book, Tohr's is the one I await the most. Or maybe Phury's. And from the look into Phury on the message board, I have a feeling that his book isn't going to be a piece of cake, either...

    62. I turned off the spam protector thing... that makes you type in the letters... maybe that will make it easier for people to comment.

If your blogger account hasn't been upgraded to the 'beta blogger' you will not be able to use that account to comment. So use other... that way you can type in a name (and website or blog if you like) to be entered into the contest.

You can still pick anonymous if you want, but make sure to sign your name in the post.

You can comment in as many threads as you like as often as you like.

      Hope that helps ;)

Z, man, you rip out my heart, stomp on it and make me cry out for more! How could you do that to me? I have work to do, thoughts to think, plans to make, yet here I sit all warm and glowy BECAUSE OF YOU! How is a girl to get anything done?!

    64. J.R., just wanted to let you know that I LOVE the brothers. This is the best series, hands-down, that I've read in a very long time.

I'm looking foward to all the books. You've got characters coming forward all the time. Do you have a specified number you're planning on writing?

Thanks for sharing the brothers with us. They ROCK!!!

Congrats on another wonderful book. I am so in awe of you and the brothers.

This book was well worth the wait. I can't wait to see where this series takes us. I think the book I'm most worried about is Tohr's.

I cant want to read it. Thanks so much.

    81. Warden you rock! I just picked up my copy of LA today and can't wait to read it!

My favorite brother (although they are all favorites really) is Wrath. He is the first, he is the king, I love that he is the blind king too, and what can I say, but Wrath's the Big Daddy of them all. Long live the King!

My second favorite (a very close second) is Z. I knew he would be one of my favorites early on when I met him in Dark Lover. What a tortured soul...I knew right away that there was more to this guy than meets the eye...maybe an angel in demon's clothing... although I must admit when I first met Z - I was not sure that he would end up being a good guy...he really is edgy that way.

      And for the Warden:

I just wanted to say that it makes sense to me that the Brothers "tell" you their stories because each story is so very different in tone and each brother is so different in personality that it really stands out from any other series out there.

    82. Hey WARDen,

You know I just didn't think when I first read DL that I could be that hooked so quickly to a new vamp series, I fell for those Brother's like a ton of bricks!! But now that I've read both Rhage's and Z's story I am in AWE!! I've never laid awake at night a good hour after I have finished a book with such a goofy smile on my face, but after turning the last page of LA, I just wanted to flip right to the start and begin again!!

Just wanted to let you know you have a fan for life, who seriously fears for the condition of her heart when the time comes to read V's story LOL

I've been scanning book shelves and haven't seen Z yet.

Can you give us some idea of when Tohr's book will be coming out? We love all the brothers and look forward to all of them, but Tohr and Wellsie took up a special place in my heart when I read Rhage & Mary's story.

    85. I was wondering, with the Brothers in your head, do they know things
you do, or are they off in thier own seperate place? For example, would
they know of your childhood experiences, or do they just occupy their
      own area in your head?

    87. I have noticed reading some of your Jessica Bird books that a few of
the characters in my mind resemble Brothers. Do you think its possible
you were channeling the Brothers before they stepped forward in your
      head?

    90. Dear J.R.--

Happy release day! When I went to bed last night, to get over the whole "back to work tomorrow" bad thoughts, instead I thought "tomorrow's Z Day!" And this morning, I woke up & thought "It's Z day! Yay!". Now it's lunchtime, and I'm not coming back to work until I find this book--the angels were on your side & I couldn't find any stores who were being bad & putting it out early this weekend--with school starting for my kids I just wanted to be able to read uninterrupted!! But, my copy is out there somewhere today & I'm hunting it down!

YOU ROCK--I can't wait to read this book! Thanks for your time & your vision & for sharing it all with us!

By Blogger Unknown, at 9/05/2006 01:43:00 PM

    91. Okay, I'm in NY and just went shopping on the cell phone with my PIC while she went to pick up Z.

      I am now deaf.

First we had the trauma of there not being any books on the shelf, and them not finding any books when she asked....

Then we had to talk her down from the despair of not having Z held cause "they ALWAYS have all my books..."

On the way out the door to other stores in GA, she looked 1 more place and found 20+ copies of Z sitting waiting...

She squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeals like a teeny bopper, WARDen. And I am deaf. We love you, JR!!!!!

I just wanted to thank you for writing such fantastic books.
I really love them, and all the brothers. They all have some much depth. Even if we only see the surface, we can see that they are great men.

    95. I remember getting an email about a new author named J.R. Ward and a link to her website. Needless to say I investigated the website and was intrigued by The Black Dagger Brotherhood. Then I picked up Dark Lover, and the rest is history.

Dark Lover introduced us to the Brothers. Lover Eternal gave us some more info on the Brotherhood itself and their war with the Lessers. Lover Awakened blows the door wide open and leaves you breathless, so hold on and enjoy the ride.

      Thank you challa...

    103. HI WARDen!

Congratulations on the release today! Just wanted you to know I'll be forever grateful to you for writing these books - they're amazing - and to my best friend for introducing them (they're the first paranormals I've ever read :) I'm just wondering, how does it feel to finally see Z's book published? A real squeeee moment? I'm guessing you never tire of it? Especially one such as Z's in which you have invested so much time and enegery and...soul?

I'm not sure if this has been asked but, is there a book that you aren't looking forward to writing? What I mean is, a book that you know will wring you dry while you're writing it but that leave you feeling..hmm...cleansed afterwards? (Apologies if that doesn't make sense :)

      Enjoy your day!

    104. Hello!

I'm definitely a fangirl. Not nearly as bad as my friend Jazz, who litterally SCREAMED at the top of her lungs in the middle of Wal-Mart the other night when she found LA, but still...LOL

I wanted to ask you a couple of questions, too, if you don't mind. There of a more personal nature, so I hope you don't mind....

How do you think the popularity of the series has affected you, personally? Do you think you're a different person now than you were before, or are you still the same?

Along the same lines, did you ever expect your Brotherhood to become so popular, so fast? You have MILLIONS of fans! Does that scare you a little, or are you just totally stoked about it?

I haven't read LA yet, but I plan on it soon. I truly enjoyed LE and DL, though. Amazing!

      Happy Release Day!

I just want to thank you again for another great book. No other author has me wrapped around her fingers like you do.

      I love your writing.

How much planning goes into each book, and does it often go in a different direction than the one you planned?
Are you daunted by the number of books in the series (I want about 25)?

      Cheers,
      Sair

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 9/05/2006 05:04:00 PM

    110. JR-
MUAH!!! I have worked 5 hours today and squeezed 80 pages of reading in while working. My husband keeps calling to see how "work" is going and laughing at me! MUST-FOCUS-ON-WORK.
Anyway, I do have a question- Do you take vacations? You know, go somewhere and take a break from writing for a few days? Or is writing your vacation?
I have just noticed that you are very focused and seem to start one book after another (or BEFORE you even finish a book you are working on another!).

So, don't you deserve a nice vacation...a pool with a swim up bar (ok, maybe that is just my happy place). What is the dream vacation for you.

Ok- it is time for me to take a break now from all this hard work and go read a little. :)

I have a Wrath question while I have you trapped here!?!

Lassiter mentions the Blind King and so do the lessers in LR...
Is the BDB talked about outside the vampire community and is the "Blind King" an urban myth, a legend or a prophecy of some kind?

My copy of LA is not here yet and I'm jonesing.

    118. LA is unbelievable! I do not think I have read another book that has me in an emotional turmoil as this one has...it is such a wonderful study of character, strength, honor, weakness and the beauty of souls. WOW. A classic for my bookshelf...I am a fan for life.

    122. Just got home with Lover Awakened. A very strange thing has been
happening since i picked up the book.
It keeps screaming at me to '
      READ ME QUICK" !

HA HA not really but i sure feel compelled to just sit
down, forget the world and just enjoy.

I just want to thank you for inviting us to the wonderful world of the Brotherhood. I really enjoy the books. So much, it is pure torture to have to wait between the book releases.

    123. Thank you SOOOOO much JR for this wonderful book. I have it. I'm waiting until Saturday to read it. I've told all of my friends that calls won't be returned until I've read thru it at least once! Can't wait!

    126. Sherry- you asked what do I like to read for fun??

Suz Brockmann and Shannon McKenna are two biggies. Angela Knight (she had me at Jane's Warlord). Um... I don't read as much as I used to not by a long shot- but I love Elizabeth Lowell! I read her a lot- I have her entire back list and I swear... I reread something of hers once a month!

      :)

    127. Lanana- hey girl!

What were my expectations for today? I didn't really have any- so it was a HUGE surprise at how I got inundated! I love that people are so excited about Z... :)

And my favorite part of a book I'm working on is... OKAY DON'T THHHHHHPPPPPT ME... the part I'm working on. I'm serious! I like all parts of whatever book I'm focused on so I love wherever I am... :)

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 9/05/2006 09:23:00 PM

    128. Syb thank you for having me!

      You asked some great questions:

I know you say HEA are a must for you in your books. And I thank you *g*. But since you don't 'create' as much as 'tell' the brothers story do you know the ending of the book when you sit down to start the book?

Oh, absolutely I do. I know how it ends because I outline the whole book extensively before I start writing. Too hard to keep everything straight if I don't because there are so many moving parts to these books... :)

Or is the ride as bumpy for you as it is for us as you set out?

The ride is as surprising as I outline I tell you that! :) These books always end up shocking me... :) But again, I know exactly where I'm going when I write.

Have you ever started a book thinking one character was going to be a shellan to have it be someone else?

Nope. Never... once they're paired that's it. I will say one particular parting just surpised the hell out of me!

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 9/05/2006 09:27:00 PM

    129. Phoenix!!! You rock! Pimping to someone who WORKED there!

Storey, I'm just thrilled you like the Brothers!!

    134. Marianne, you will most definately see more of Phury's history- absolutely. And soon, too! :)

Valkyrie- for real? V would most definately take his size 14 sh**kicker and plant it all over my non-existent booty. YUP! :)

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 9/05/2006 09:42:00 PM

    135. Hey Butter! You ask a great question:

Do you ever get stuck while in the middle of a story? If so, how do you get out of it?

      ***********************

You know, I don't. Because I just let the pictures in my head take over and write what I see. The only time I've gotten into trouble is when I've tried to impose my will on the stories. What that get me? V's boot in my non-existent booty. They like me to get out of the way so that's what I do. As long as I'm just the scribe everything seems to go well! :)

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 9/05/2006 09:47:00 PM

    136. WARDen! I just had to mention:

I picked up LA before work and since it was a really slooooow day, I was able to read for most of my time there. Your books make me...er...rather vocal "Squeak! He didn't!!" or "OMG!!!" etc etc. I pimped DL to a co-worker today and he happened to walk in during a particular scene which got him so excited, he went out and bought LE and LA right after he got off of work. Yay male fans!

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 9/05/2006 09:49:00 PM

    137. Pixiefire! I've had a lot of fun here, and Syb asks great interview questions!

Nicole, I'm just grateful you all came out!

Susan- you know what? Z gets/got to me as well!

      Jennifer- THANK YOU! :)

Heather... about Tohr. His book is actually quite beautiful. I know what happens to him. I think at first people are going to be shocked and maybe a little angry... but then they will see the beauty in his future and his happily ever after. *sigh*

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 9/05/2006 09:49:00 PM

    138. JennyBrat- the first romance I read was a Harlequin Presents. I read it in a rose garden in the summer and it was... lovely and moving and touching and I swear, I read it and something clicked. I was like fifteen I believe. And I can still picture exactly where I was when I read it...

Oh! And Butch's cover is my favorite!

Hi WARDen, I know this is slightly off topic, but did you ever mention how Spike, from the Moorehouse series, is related to Z and Phury? I can't find it. Thanks!!

LOL! I haven't explained it yet! :) It's in Spike book though. Basically, his father visited his mother and took off. His father was the relative of Phury and Z... :)

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 9/05/2006 09:52:00 PM

    140. I have noticed reading some of your Jessica Bird books that a few of
the characters in my mind resemble Brothers. Do you think its possible
you were channeling the Brothers before they stepped forward in your
      head?
      ***********************

Actually, no. The Brothers are very clear to me and rather different than the other heros...

BUT I have always loved alpha heros and to the extent to which previous heroes are very alpha, then it would seem logical that they would remind you of the Brothers... :)

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 9/05/2006 09:54:00 PM

    141. Will drinking vampire blood have adverse effects on a human? Does the
amount of blood drunk factor in?
      ************************

There are adverse effects, very definitely. It's an incredible stimulant and there are other things that happen. I'll have to give a keep reading on the rest, though.

      :)

    142. Kamie!! I'm thrilled you liked Z!

And freg- MUUUUUUAH baby! *sigh* see you Saturday!

Elizabeth, thank you for your kindness. And Beth and Jo, too, thank you!

Tigerlily, you are just the best and I still love your Z AVI better than any one I've seen- actually that whole BDB plate is awesome!

    143. Brezofleur! Excellent pimping job! Thank you! And BTW, that's what it's like for me to write them- I'm always like OMG! EEEK! WTF???

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 9/05/2006 10:02:00 PM

    144. Sair- absolutely, the Blind King is talked about outside the vampire community and yes... Wrath is sometimes seen as a myth.

It is going to be very interesting to see how the sympaths view him which is part of the reason I'm very interested in writing Rehv's book... :)

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 9/05/2006 10:03:00 PM

    145. I'd love to hear what the urban myths are?

As you know I love to be creative, but the writing process fascinates me, how you make the whole story unfold, some parts end and some begin, and some keep evolving.

I definitly couldn't do it, not even in a short one off story!

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 9/05/2006 10:09:00 PM

    146. Have you ever written something that went against what the brothers told you, or do you always get the finger? lol Stubborn guys they be... ;) I know that you've only completed four and into V's, but which book do you think will be the hardest for you to write?

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 9/05/2006 10:10:00 PM

    147. Wonderful job, Warden! I can't wait to read Butch and than V and than Phury....awww Phury. Gosh, I love him more and more. thankyou so much for all you hard work...:) ruth

    148. I just want to thank you everyone for all their support- I mean... honestly, you are so generous.

      :)

And if I missed anyone I'm very sorry...

The winner will be announced tomorrow!

    152. J R!!! Heyyy, how are you doing? Went to Barnes and Noble when they first opened today to get LA and...it wasn't on the shelf!!! Wasn't in the backroom either...it was on something they called a 'dump", lol...which apparently is a cardboard standee filled with all 3 books. Took almost 30 minutes to find it tho, and I even had employees looking for it too. Big stores :) I absolutely loved the fact that you gave a shout out to the Cellies in this one...as I am one, it was cool. Thanks for another awesome book, I am eagerly awaiting Butch now... **MUAH!!**

    153. Hi JR,

      Happy release day!!!

I thought it was a great interview today and thanks for replying to the questions people asked.

Hopefully the book will be available here Down Under in just a few weeks.

Can't believe you (mostly) got away with describing Butch as "wicked long" ;> I'm trying very hard not to say anything about that, LOL!

Today I found out the title of V's book, Lover Unbound. Somehow, the "un" doesn't seem to fit. Can't imagine why ;)

Anyway, really looking forward to Z when he gets here.

    155. Wow, WARDen. There is just about nothing else to say in regards to LA. It had it all, laughter, tears, sexiness, fighting action, mysterious characters - incredible job.

    156. Your series is awesome! I have just read lover awakened and all I can say is wow! It was a dark book, though, which made it incredibly hard to read. But i'm so glad Z got his HEA.

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 9/06/2006 04:25:00 PM

    157. WARDen! I just finished LA! Took alittle over a day and a half and I did it. I'm still in a daze, my eyes glassy eyed and mind buzzing with questions and worries and oh! I'll stop before I reveal anything. Love it all, all the Brothers and you!

By Anonymous Anonymous, at 9/06/2006 07:19:00 PM

    158. I always knew that magic exists for those who believe. The series allows me to day dream about the books and the characters.....macncheese.
