Spammers come in and snag it immediately. Same thing happened to mine. So the two things are mutually exclusive and actually have nothing to do with each other.

And Sybil, you sure do use strong language for someone who just thinks someone else is dumb. I shudder to think what you'd call me if you ever hated me because...dang, you've got some harsh verbiage going on there, girl! Thanks for the info...

You know it prolly has to do with the fact I HATE the action but not the person. I hate socks. And honestly it has nothing to do with romanceland but with fandom and putting up with far too much shit because of it.

Is that fair? Maybe not. But the internet being what it is, socks are such an abuse of trust.

As I said before we are all 'hiding' behind a name in a way. But once you identify with a name - creating one or more and interacting with the same people is shitty. It would be like you creating another name, not linking it to 'angie' or your blog in any way then doing nothing but put up glowing reviews about Samhain books.

And it doesn't help that I have seen too many people taken advantage of because of socks.

I've often wondered about people creating more than one persona and now I know what it is called - I didnt know they were called sockpuppets. Some people have way too much time on their hands!

nothing like

coming home and having your cable, internet and phone turned off because your bank which screwed up your account TWO months before STILL hasn't managed to get it fixed...

oh and returned money to the wrong account

THEN charged you more fees for returning the check (3 times)

This after having been in the bank, in person, to fill out forms (twice) which they lost (twice) to correct the mistake THEY FUCKING MADE.

And not being able to use the debit card to your new account because it has to be activated using your home phone, which is currently not working!

I think I may have gone through withdrawal. Lucky for all involved the money is back. Account to be CLOSED. And the internet working again - today.

Security Services SUCKS. Stay far far far away.

I think she was stupid. I think if she had an all powerful need to share her opinion she should have done it as herself and not shouted to the heavens 'look at me - I am a sock puppet - watch me as I bitch about people who write in my genre and are doing it so well the are sell really well while I am so talented I have time to create socks'.

And of course I have lost complete and total respect for her. But hate her? No, she isn't worth the energy. But deleting your site ~~and having your url go to a porn site~~ (see angie's comment) - so deserves a post *g*.
