    Speaking of the Harlequin Historical
If you haven't noticed here or here... there is now a blog for the Harlequin Historical authors.

    WoOT!

As you may or may not remember there was a note in the AAR recap (I think on LLB's) that spoke to rumors regarding the HH line. I sent an email off to Linda Fildew a Senior Editor with Harlequin Historical. She has very kindly answered and given permission to share.

My favorite part of the email...

Let me reassure you that you can continue to look forward to buying these books through Retail outlets as well as through our eHarlequin website and subscription service.

With our acquisition of three exciting new authors already this year, and Harlequin Historical author Diane Gaston's double win at the RWA in Atlanta last month, we're going from strength to strength.

Given your particular enjoyment of Western settings, I'm pleased to be able to tell you that our latest signed author has a glorious Western voice. Look for Stacey Kayne's MUSTANG WILD, coming March 2007.

Of course anything can happen and people say things all the time. I feel better... remembering of course I know nothing about anything and have been reading romance a short time.

But it has to be a good thing they are buying books well into 2007, right?

    1. Te He - see you went to the source and I just had a post with wild speculations. Very good news though. At least we can plan on the line not getting an ax anytime soon. Oh, and so looking forward to that debut western!

    2. Thanks for this good news, Sybil. So there is a market for westerns (contrary to Nicole Jordan's excuse for not finishing Wolf's story). I think HH westerns are some of the best.
