Sybil, if you're going to use expandable post summary, can I suggest you go to this post on my blog: http://briannasmommy.blogspot.com/2006/02/whoo-hoo.html

And follow the link to the code that Amir created instead of the code provided through Blogger Hacks. His code allows you to use expandable post summaries, but the "purple prose" part will only show up when you ACTUALLY have an expanded post. Otherwise, you just delete the "span class" code from your post template when you go to compose a new post and it won't show up.

The Blogger Hack code doesn't offer this option and the text will show up in every post, which is kind of irritating since readers won't know if there's actually expanded text or not.

Hmmmmmmmmmm from an initial glance it looks better than it did. I think they ditched the frames (annoying) and went to php which is really cool!

And yeah the computer geek in me says it looks good too LOL

Angie! You do win the prize for being nice ;). But really... do you honestly think I did the change? LOL I noticed this morning around 3am. And no one was around to fix it for me and I haven't had a chance to try and figure it out.

But uh, I thought I gave maili your blog as the link so if she didn't do whatever you did.... uh... yeah I will fix it at some point it is fucking annoying ;).

Cece: I do like the php much much better! oooooohhhhhhhhh you are a computer geek? You better be careful I think you are with in driving distance ;). Mail is safe in the UK.

The reason why I use the blogger hack is Ami's hack interferes with the comment hacks. I did try to make them compatible, but they won't obey. So it could mean a) a total overhaul, b) choose one, or c) live with it.

I figured you had a reason. Cuz you are wicked smart like that :). I would never ask you to do a total overhaul. You were wonderful enough to do it the first time.

I could choose one... but is it really that hard to tell if there is more text? I need to look at some old posts. I generally think I ramble on enough to where I will use it more often than not.

Which would mean C.

Or wait until I can get angie to try and fix it :).

I still can't figure out Amir's instructions...I'm so blog illiterate. I wish I knew someone who could just do the expandable posts for me...I might have to open up another blog and experiment.

Well if it's choosing between the comments on the same page and expandable posts, I say stick with the comments. I'd much rather have the comments be inline with the post (as opposed to a pop up or a new page) than have your posts be expandable.

Personally, unless the post is particually enthralling I rarely click to read the expanded part. Especially not with Blogger since I'd have to go back to the main page to read the next post anyway. But that's just me and I'm lazy. And apparently cranky.

Yay D! work on it so when I finally drive maili completely insane I, jay stops talking to me, cw blocks me and nic pretends she doesn't know me... I can have back up ;).

Since I can't even find my yahoo right now to get angie. Good god, just don't ask. Only I can 'lose' yahoo messenger.

Mad you gonna learn too? Cooooolllllll I need lots of help :)

erika if it is a pbp board, most likely it takes a mod to click the ok button. No idea how many of those they have. Should be interesting to see wait times and such. But as it is brand new, anything is possible.

AV: LOL I am still working on the summary thing. I think I likey the cut thing. So if I keep it (right now it shows with every post) I will just type something showing to click. Until I decide something else.

I have WT! Right here... next to me. In fact uh it really is a site to see how many books are currently on my bed, alont with three different sprials, a box (with books), two mags (about books) and some post it things. Good thing I divorced the ex, there would be no room for him. Lets not think too hard on that.

hhhhhheeeeeeeeee I have been getting a few ARC's sent to me lately and have a few on the way. And am a BIG fan of getting more... hint hint.

reviews - one is in edit, one is in limbo while I get more info regarding other books in the series, one is in draft to post, another needs to be typed so it can be sent for edits. uh none are WT but soon! First is Moon's Web. By the end of the weekend. Yesterday sucked ass in ways don't want to talk about for fear I will start crying again, so I sort of came home and went to sleep. Before 8pm... in the middle of doing a post on book covers.

We aren't even going to go into someone hacking into a message board I use to help run and still somewhat mod.

And I have to take a friend to a meeting downtown soon, so off to try and get something of the above finished.
